Product Description

Product Introduction

EM513126 is a three phase LoRaWAN smart energy meter designed for wireless energy monitoring and intelligent power management applications.

Supporting LoRaWAN remote communication and RS485 Modbus RTU local communication, this DIN rail mounted energy meter enables real-time electricity data transmission to cloud platforms, energy management systems and monitoring software without complicated communication wiring.

Designed for three phase four wire power distribution systems, EM513126 can also operate in single phase applications, providing flexible installation options for different electrical environments.

The meter integrates advanced multifunction measurement capabilities, including bidirectional active and reactive energy measurement, voltage, current, power, frequency, power factor and demand monitoring. With multi-tariff management, alarm detection and event recording functions, it provides a complete solution for smart buildings, commercial energy monitoring and IoT-based electricity management.

Key Advantage:

LoRaWAN is suitable for transmitting small size payloads (like meter data) over long distances. LoRa modulation provides a significantly greater communication range with low bandwidths than other competing wireless data transmission technologies, such as WIFI and GPRS.

Other Advantages:

1. Ultra low power - LoRaWAN end devices are optimized to operate in low power mode and can last up to 10 years on a single coin cell battery.

2. Long range - LoRaWAN gateways can transmit and receive signals over a distance of over 10 kilometers in rural areas and up to 3 kilometers in dense urban areas.

3. Deep indoor penetration - LoRaWAN networks can provide deep indoor coverage, and easily cover multi floor buildings.

4. License free spectrum - You don’t have to pay expensive frequency spectrum license fees to deploy a LoRaWAN network.

5. High capacity - LoRaWAN Network Servers handle millions of messages from thousands of gateways.

6. Public and private deployments - It is easy to deploy public and private LoRaWAN networks using the same hardware (gateways, end devices, antennas) and software (UDP packet forwarders, Basic Station software, LoRaWAN stacks for end devices).

7. End-to-end security - LoRaWAN ensures secure communication between the end device and the application server using AES-128 encryption.

8. Low cost - Minimal infrastructure, low-cost end nodes and open source software.
